Stamp Camp Card Bonanza!

I was doing some birthday cards today, and remembered I did not give a shout out to Cris and Angie of Creative Cottage for their excellent stamp camp Nov. 10. These are some of the cards we made with their Stampin' Up products. The Birthday Buttons and the No Pouting were two I made before but am getting ready to mail, so figured it is now or never to photograph them! Cris' blog is here: http://sassafraslass.blogspot.com. I love the silver embossed card! Can't wait to get my next Stampin' Up goodies.

I'm a Happy Camper

What a great day! Started with two hours of thorough house cleaning, always a good feeling, and then a trip to the rubber stamp store, consignment shop, antique mall and a trip to Stamp Camp.

Cris Marsh http://sassafraslass.blogspot.com/, my Stampin' Up demonstrator, and her sister Angie Higginbotham, collectively Creative Cottage, offer a monthly stamp camp for their customers. All the pieces and parts are provided, along with refreshments and door prizes, while attendees go table to table, making various cards and things.

Here you can see the cards I made. One is actually perforated and includes a tear-off book mark as a thank-you. There is a darling Halloween card, and then we decorated a bottle of bubbles for a great gift. Finally, we rolled a pen in decorative paper and micro beads for a cool result. Such fun!

Swap Goodies

Here are some things I finished up tonight to get in the mail for Artsymama's sweet and sinister swap. Photos of all the goodies are on Flickr, a free, public photo-sharing community herehttp://www.flickr.com/groups/493018@N23/. I stuffed the bear myself for something sweet, although I purchased his sweater, which is tres chic. I also painted and decorated a tiny hanger for the sweater. The felted pinkeep cat is for moi, by Elona's Originals on ebay. He is about 6 inches tall. Next, I covered the band box with black and white papers and tucked lots of sweet and sinister goodies inside, and added ribbon, a Beware sign and skulls on top. The Halloween dress card is made from a template from Somerset Studio and is one of my all-time favorite card shapes. It has real pockets (with candy and a bone) ric rac and ribbon trim, buttons, and can also fit on the tiny hanger. Hope my swap partner likes her package!

More Artist Trading Cards!

I can't believe I finally made some ATCs. I have been resisting for months. I love seeing everyone else's. The talented people on ebay, ZNE, and in some of the published books, such as by Bernie Berlin, are amazing. I didn't think I could work that small, but I am pretty happy with how these turned out. I want to list them on ebay just to gauge a reaction, but I kind of don't want to part with them. I think the lady at the scanner place thought I was weird when she saw these, but I am hoping fellow ATC artists will think I am pretty O.K. The first one below is called "Free Bird."

Card-making

The cards below are some I made for Stampington.com with nautical elements and stamps by Christine Adolph in hopes of getting published in The Stampers' Sampler or Take Ten, both great publications!

Speaking of the beach...

Hello Adoring Fans!

Hello, adoring fans- yep, that's over the top! Especially when I consider there may be zero persons reading this. In any event, welcome to my blog, formerly found at memory-works.com. That did not give me functionality and it kept dropping postings, about the same as posting droppings- because it was irritating!

This blog is to support all my nasty habits, like scrapbooking, card-making, rubber stamping, altered arts, collage, mixed media, water colors, crocheting, jewelry-making and, well, I can't remember right now what else I do! It will also be for information on my business as an independent consultant for Memory-Works.com. If you'd like more information, just let me know.
The collage above is my new favorite piece. I've got prints of it on ebay right now. I was so excited to get an offer to join some ebay art groups. I'll post links to those when I have them. There are so many cool groups on ebay. Just type any of the following in search: ATC, ACEO, ZNE, AAMM, IWAM, AWLA
