That is too funny! Your work friend must be an artist. You can tell him that my husband used to refer to me as "der Blaumeister," too.
Music is such a funny, personal thing. At a couple of my old jobs there used to be music wars over the company cd player selections. CDs would be turned upside down, taken out, and sometimes even stolen (I didn't do it, but I must say I was extremely grateful I didn't have to listen to the soundtrack from Phantom of the Opera anymore!).
So rock on, sister - ignore the naysayers. (But thank your coworker for me, for the compliment.)
Okay. I'm CRACKING UP! I don't know how I missed the music when I was here earlier- temporary deafness??? I just stopped by to see if you had anything new before I go to bed - and I'm greeted by "Love, American Style!" Too funny! I'm loving them all.
Also - LOVE your banner! I'm (mostly) sure it wasn't there earlier. I think. I hope.
OMG! David Cassidy! I was in love with him when I was 9(?). I had a bubble gum card with a picture of him and the lyrics of this song on the back. I would sit in my room and sing the chorus over and over again because I couldn't ever remember how the rest of it went. I was a dork then, too.
